Cancer Drugs Fund Consultation October 2014
Overview
NHS England is consulting on a number of proposed changes to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Cancer Drugs Fund (CDF). This is to ensure that the CDF continues to offer maximum benefit to patients, and remains effective and sustainable for the longer term.
Why your views matter
The changes proposed to the CDF include a re-evaluation of the drugs that are currently listed within the fund. This re-evaluation process proposes to examine both the clinical benefit and the cost of each of the drugs on the list, as well as any new applications to the fund. The proposals are outlined in the documents below and our public consultation is inviting responses until 31 October 2014.
