Overview

NHS England has launched a 30 day consultation on the use of defibrotide in severe veno-occlusive disease following stem cell transplant.

This document updates the existing policy published in January 2015, bringing it into line with the current product license and professional body guidance and to providing access for those who contract veno-occlusive disease after 21 days.

A final decision will made by NHS England following a recommendation from the Clinical Priorities Advisory Group.
