Overview

NHS England has launched a 30 day consultation on the use of Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) for the treatment of the surgical cavity following resection of cerebral metastases.

The proposal is that SRS / SRT is not recommended to be available as a treatment option through not for routine commissioning for the treatment of the surgical cavity following resection of cerebral metastases within the criteria set out in the policy proposition.

A final decision will made by NHS England following a recommendation from the Clinical Priorities Advisory Group.
