Statistical publications
Overview
This consultation covers proposed reductions to selected statistical and management information outputs that we plan to implement over the coming months. In developing these proposals, we have considered known users, usage statistics for the outputs, and the availability of similar information elsewhere. In some instances, we have identified more timely data sources and are seeking to remove duplication. We have also considered the availability of staff to work on these outputs, as well as their relative impact and priority compared with other work those staff would otherwise be undertaking.
Why are we consulting?
This consultation seeks feedback from users of statistical products, in line with the Code of Practice for Statistics, to ensure that any changes and improvements to the statistical landscape provide the greatest possible value and make the best use of resources. The Code of Practice for Statistics and the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007 both state that organisations producing statistics should consult users about changes to statistical products.
Please read the Statsitical publications consultation document outlining the proposed changes to individual publications before answering these questions.
