Pilot: GIRFT Diabetes Footcare Vascular Services Survey

Closes 4 Apr 2025

Opened 21 Nov 2024

Overview

The aim of centralisation of vascular services is to reduce the morbidity and mortality of patients with aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease and peripheral arterial disease.

This survey of lead clinicians in diabetic foot disease (representing vascular surgery, diabetes, orthopaedic surgery and podiatrists) seeks to obtain feedback of their experience since centralisation and its impact upon the management of diabetes foot fisease.

The intention is to learn from clinicians' experiences and to identify areas for improvement. The survey is anonymous but it would be helpful to link non-arterial centres (“spokes”) with their arterial centres (“hubs”).

If you agree, please provide the name of your hospital. If, independently, your arterial centre or non-arterial centre also agrees, then we should be able to match the responses.

As previously stated, feedback will remain anonymous as will the sites of the matched arterial and non-arterial centres.
