COVID-19 Lessons Learned: Respiratory

Closed 25 Sep 2020

Opened 9 Sep 2020

Overview

This questionnaire has been sent to NHS Trusts in England and should be completed by the Respiratory Clinical Lead.

Thank you for taking the time to complete the Respiratory questionnaire below covering your experiences related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This questionnaire will take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete.

Why your views matter

We are attempting to identify and share lessons regarding:

  • the challenges faced by your department since the 1st COVID-19 patient
  • the transformation of your department in response to COVID-19

This information will be invaluable to other units across England to help inform future planning. To disseminate this learning, we plan to publish the results as anonymised information in the GIRFT national report and a ‘lessons learned’ document.

Type of data being collected?

The questionnaire will not collect patient identifiable information. The questions cover both quantitative and qualitative themes. This will include specific information regarding admission numbers and capacity figures.

Who will access the data?

The results from the questionnaire will be stored within the secure IT environment managed by NHS England & NHS Improvement. Data will be accessed by a small number of NHS England & NHS Improvement and GIRFT staff that have permission to use the secure NHS England & NHS Improvement IT environment. Data may be shared with a small number of staff at the British Thoracic Society.  NHS England & NHS Improvement may also use the data internally to support the wider COVID-19 response.  Data will be regularly backed up and stored no longer than required for the purpose of sharing learning from COVID-19.
