Overview

The Maternity and Neonatal Programme is pleased to invite expressions of Interest from candidates from the health and wider sectors for the role of chair for its newly refreshed Delivery and Programme Board.

The Programme Board will provide direction to, and oversight of, the Maternity and Neonatal Programme as it works to transform and improve maternity services in line with the aims and objectives of the Three Year Delivery Plan for Maternity and Neonatal Services. As well as providing this oversight and direction, it will also be accountable to the NHS England Board for the activity and delivery of the Programme. 

As chair, you will be responsible for providing advice, scrutiny and constructive challenge in order to drive forward the progression and delivery of the Maternity and Neonatal Programme. You will also represent the board at a senior level both internally within NHS England and as a partner with wider stakeholders and organisations, including health, education, social care and government bodies.
