NHS England’s ambition is for patients and the public to be at the heart of everything we do, in line with the values of the NHS Constitution.  We are working to strengthen participation in all of our work, including policy making and commissioning (the process of planning, buying and monitoring health services). The Framework for Patient and Public Participation in Primary Care Commissioning is a guide for commissioners – and anyone else who is interested, including patients and the public, the voluntary sector, and providers of health and social care services – on how to involve patients and the public in this area.  We would like to know what you think about the framework and to give you the opportunity to share your experiences of how well it is working in practice.  In addition, we are inviting comments about the related information for patients and the public about how they can get involved in primary care commissioning.  Many thanks in advance for your contribution.

All of the documents we are asking for comments on can be found in the primary care commissioning section of the NHS England website.
