Closed 3 May 2018

Opened 13 Apr 2018

Overview

As part of the General Practice Forward View, Next Steps on the NHS Five Year Forward View and General Practice contract negotiations, NHS England has committed to review the GP Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF).

The review formally commenced in September 2017 setting out the approach and methodology of the review for the next 6 months.

To date existing evidence has been collated and reviewed, discussions with stakeholders have taken place and a number of reference groups and engagement events have been held to seek views on current QOF and key considerations for the  ways in which it could be improved.

The review will conclude in Spring 2018 and no decisions have yet been taken on the outputs of the review.

Why are we engaging

This questionnaire provides stakeholders an opportunity to express views in relation to current QOF indicators, indicators on the NICE menu (but not included in QOF), areas of activity that could be better delivered or achieved at a network level and areas of activity that could be included in a quality improvement programme.

The current process for the development of clinical indicators sits with NICE and as such this questionnaire does not seek views on new areas for inclusion unless they are applicable to the network or quality improvement sections. Respondents may choose how much of the questionnaire to respond to, not all questions need to be answered.

Please note for the purpose of this exercise we are seeking a concise summary of your responses to the proposed questions, and would therefore appreciate answers be limited to 500 words per answer.

Please do not attach any documents or links in your responses - we will contact you if we require any additional information.
