Chief Allied Health Professions Officer Awards 2024

Closes 3 Jun 2024

Opened 29 Apr 2024

Overview

This year we will be holding our eighth annual Chief Allied Health Professions Officer (CAHPO) Awards on the evening of the 10 October 2024.

CAHPO Award nominations can be made for all members of the Allied Health Professions (AHP) community, including support workers, assistant practitioners, registered professionals, pre-registration apprentices, and students. Nominations can be made by their peers or by themselves, to receive recognition for their personal contributions towards delivery of exceptional care for patients. We continue to be impressed and inspired by AHPs in practice for their dedication, innovation and leadership. The awards also promote adoption and dissemination of good practice being delivered by nominated AHPs, and give teams the chance to review their work and look at the impact they have made to services.

AHPs are the third largest clinical workforce in the NHS. The awards provide an opportunity to highlight the incredible work being carried out by AHPs and demonstrate the vital role they play in delivering the ambitions set out in the NHS Long Term Plan.

Award categories include:

  • AHP Leadership for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Award
  • AHP Research Impact Award
  • AHP Digital Practice Award
  • AHP Workforce Transformation Award
  • AHP Creative Provision of Placements Award
  • AHP Public Health Award
  • AHP Innovation and Improvement within Integrated Care Systems
