CDS GIRFT questionnaire follow-up (children)

Overview

Many thanks in anticipation of your willingness to complete these questions about your waiting lists and please accept my apologies for it being necessary.

Many of you were understandably confused by Q13 in the original questionnaire and the wording of the question was so ambiguous as to make the data unreliable.

From the responses to the original questionnaire we have already found many areas of unwarranted variation between services and many aspects that might be improved. The aim is to ensure that the CDS is well understood and valued as it treats the most vulnerable in society.

We anticipate that you all hold waiting lists for assessment (first appointment) following referral to your service and that the patients are divided by age into those under or over 16 (Paeds dentistry responsibility or SCD responsibility).

We also anticipate that you all hold treatment waiting lists with separate lists for patients over or under 16.

We understand that some of these questions may not fit your service and may therefore be hard to answer. If that is the case, please feel free to use the comments boxes.
