Overview

This questionnaire asks you about NHS Urgent dental care which is a service you use when you need to see a dentist quickly (within 24 hours) because you have:

  • severe toothache or face pain not helped by over the counter pain killers and/or
  • acute infection/swelling (which is not rapidly spreading around the throat or eye  )

(Please note, this questionnaire does not ask about emergency dental care, which is when there is a need for immediate medical attention at  Accident and Emergency  e.g. due to  bleeding which won’t stop after a tooth extraction, rapidly increasing swelling around the eye or throat, or injury).

NHS Urgent dental care for patients across Yorkshire and the Humber may vary in different parts of the region. We are working to make a fairer service for those who use it across the region. We are asking for your views and experiences which we will use to inform any service changes we make.
