Kent and Sussex School Aged Immunisation Programme Commissioning

Closed 26 Jul 2017

Opened 30 Jun 2017

Overview

NHS England is responsible for commissioning community and school based children's (0-19 years) immunisation programmes. NHS England South (South East) would like feedback from schools on the delivery of immunisations to children in schools in East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove, Kent and Medway.

Why your views matter

NHS England South (South East) is recommissioning community based childhood (0 - 19 years) immunisation services across Kent and Sussex from August 2018. This includes immunisations delivered to children in schools. The childhood flu programme has to be re-procured in 2018. As the commissioner, we want to ensure that the other school aged programmes are not fragmented and opportunities to improve uptake are also taken. Therefore we are re-procuring all school aged immunisation programmes together in one service. The service specification will follow national commissioning guidance but we are keen to gain the views of people working in schools who support the delivery of the service so that we can use this to inform the procurement.
